Pete the Peach Tree was originally created as a university assignment, but later turned into a story for my seven-year-old child (who is now fourteen). This project became a passion of mine and I decided to make it into a gift for my twin and younger sister's children.

Later on, my husband and I wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary this year by making plush versions of Pete to give to our nieces and nephews. This led to the idea of making Pete the Peach Tree publicly available, using the amateurish drawings that my daughter enjoyed during her younger years (and still appreciates today).
I have a personal favorite Pete with blue eyes, but my hubby Luke likes the pink-eyed Pete more. Although, in the photo, they seem less friendly than they really are in person. My twin agrees with me on this.
Pete's Teeth
I got the idea for Pete's teeth from Luke's cute front tooth that overlaps the other. I figured it would make Pete even more adorable and add some extra character to him.

Pete the Character
Back in 2015-2016, while I was living in South Australia, I came up with this cool idea for a story about a peach tree named Pete. It all started when I was weeding my backyard and I noticed two peach trees that produced large fruits as big as my hand.
I didn't think much of it at first until my family and I went on a trip to Victor Harbour - this awesome tourist spot that's actually featured in the story. I was so inspired by the scenery there that I decided to make it the centerpiece of my story. The first version was meant for kids aged six and above, but I've since revised it to make it more child-friendly with shorter text, better illustrations with some fun images thrown in to give the story a bit of a comical tone.

The first edition of Pete's book is attached here or you can access it from the link.
You might find some small grammar mistakes and the font is a bit tiny. We only got a handful of 8 x 10 inch hardcovers printed for myself, Ps Jane, and my twin. The second edition's cover was created just for fun, but it turned out to be way better than we expected.
